The Department of Home Affairs Gazettes Second Amendment of the Immigration Regulations

These new Regulations were first published for comment on 8 February and comes after many proposals made for the implementation and most recently suggestions made in the Vulindlela Report to support the introduction. It aims to attract remote workers to South Africa and boost the country’s economy. Outlined within Section 11(2) of the Immigration Act, the Remote Work Visa is tailored for individuals employed by foreign entities, engaging in remote work.
